Album number three has now been committed to some form of recording apparatus, it clearly warrants it’s own thread.

I know there’s plenty of information about the going on during the recording process over at Eddie’s blog, there’s always room for a bit of cross posting though. It’d be nice to get some discussion going on it all.

I was caught quite off guard that there was even a new album in the works, but none the less very excited.

Does anyone know when we might be lucky enough to either hear a sample of the new material, or when the new album will be entirely ready for human consumption?

A musically schizophrenic amalgalm of surf/goth/pop/punk/metal/burundi, think Bauhaus meets the Darkness via Flowers of Romance era PiL. Yes, THAT GOOD!

THE NEW ROYAL FAMILY: Increasingly preposterous indie supergroup who’ve thrown the critics off the scent with new single I.W.I.S.H.I.W.A.S.GAY (featuring Alex out of Baxendale and Eddie Argos) being described as “a cross between Chic and the Village People” while their live act has been more accurately compared to Captain Beefheart, Sex Pistols and Monty Python.

THE ABBA STRIPES: Exactly what it says on the tin: all your favourite Abba hits performed in the style of the White Stripes. This is actually much better than it sounds.

SMALL CREW: Richard “Talented one out of the Boyfriends” Adderley’s lowkey new musical experiment. Expect lovely tunes with too many effects pedals.

THE STILTS: No idea about this lot but they seem like a nice bunch.
